Our Fiano showcases bright flavors of crisp bosc pear, lemon pith, and yellow wax bean that are brought to life with refreshing acidity and chalky minerality. The result is a vibrant wine, rich in flavor and texture, with a long, mouth-watering finish.
We love pairing our Fiano with oysters, grilled fish, and mushroom risotto, but Fiano is incredibly versatile and can be enjoyed with braised dishes and hearty bean stews, too. We recommend having one on hand at all times!
These Fiano grapes are sourced from the Bowland Vineyard located in the heart of the Russian River Valley. There is little over 1 acre of Fiano sustainably planted here, and the grapes enjoy a long growing season with warm days and cool nights. While Fiano is plentiful in southern Italy, it is extremely rare in California let alone Sonoma County, so we feel incredibly fortunate to produce this wine.
About Fiano
Fiano has been grown in Italy for hundreds of years and the first documented mention of the grape variety was in the 13th Century. Southern Italy has an abundance of this high-quality, versatile grape with the majority of plantings in Campania, but Puglia also hosts some incredible vineyards. Australia has been building a solid reputation for the grape as well because Fiano loves warm sunny climates.
