A vibrant, aromatic, dry and late-ripening vermentino from Las Brisas vineyard that is named for the cooling afternoon breezes from the San Pablo Bay. This white wine oasis in Carneros AVA near the corner of the Petaluma Wine Gap allows for the leisurely pace Vermentino needs to hold its vibrant acidity and dry finish.
Bright flavors of lemon, verbena, mandarin, honeysuckle and kaffir lime offer refreshing aperitivo style wine for pairing with antipasti, salads, seafood, fresh cheeses, and oysters.
About Vermentino
The ‘ver’ refers to the red color of the vines shoots that traveled first to Sardinia, then Toscana and then Liguria, as the chronological story goes. There has been some debate as to how to distinguish between Pigato, Favorita, and Vermentino as DNA analysis has linked these Italian grapes as relatives. Beyond Italy, Vermentino is also grown and blended in Southern France and California.
